Meet Our Team in Houston

Meet Steve! His passion for the optical industry begin at a young age as he watched his father prescribe eyewear and fit optical lenses by hand and stone in Vietnam. He has been in the optical industry for over 40 years and has honed and refined his skills as an optician along the way. He takes pride in making patients feel comfortable and helping them select accurate lenses for their lifestyle and finds joy in frame styling that enhances personal style from edgy to sophistication. He is confident in the latest optical technologies and looks forward to helping you look and see your best.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, cooking Vietnamese food and having fun in the sun with his boat.

Angie boasts over 50 years of experience in the eye care industry and is thoroughly passionate about helping people see and feel their best. She is exceedingly capable of performing the custom work required with large prescriptions and intricate frames.

She feels real joy and satisfaction when her patients are happy with their new eyeglasses. Angie relishes a challenge and feels truly fulfilled when she is at work.

When asked how she would describe herself, Angie responded; “Young at heart!” Outside of work, Angie enjoys camping, salsa dancing, and volleyball.

Meet Carolina! She is very talented and loves styling our patients in timeless eyewear. She is very patient and enjoys finding the right eyewear that fits you and your needs. She is dynamic and loves engaging with patients and wants you to feel excited and confident about your new eyewear! She is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Outside of work, Carolina enjoys going to the gym, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her family.

Meet Annika! She is a key member of our back office team and works closely with every patient that receives eyecare at Vision Optique. She is a recent graduate of Texas Tech University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Biology.  She is excited to assist in making a difference in our patient’s vision and the health of their eyes. Her caring demeanor and kindness will make your visit to our office memorable. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family and golfing.

We are so happy to have Gwen on our team as she brings an extra level of care, attention to detail, and fun to the patient experience. She is a firm believer in providing first-rate customer service to ensure our patients feel well taken care of. Gwen works hard to ensure her skills are always fine-tuned for our patients. She welcomes new challenges and is eager to find new opportunities that keep Vision Optique one of the leading eye care teams in Houston.

Outside of work, Gwen loves to spend time with family and friends and enjoys trying new foods.

Meet Adriana! She will greet you with a smile when you enter our office. She is currently working on her undergraduate degree in Biology and has always wanted to work in the medical field. She has a goal to attend Optometry school in the future. She is a great listener and enjoys working with you during your eye examination and understanding your concerns and goals.

Outside of work, Adriana enjoys working out, reading good books, and volunteering her time to help others.

John has over 20 years of optical experience. He sees every detail in the appearance of your eyewear and he has a passion for helping each patient see the world clearly while also looking good. He takes the time to identify your personal style and eyewear needs and he also enjoys solving problems and working to find the best eyewear solutions for each Vision Optique patient.

Outside of work, John enjoys attending the Houston Astros games, playing softball, running, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Meet Jasmine! She is a very versatile member of our eye care team and is excited to assist in making a difference in our patient’s vision and the health of their eyes. She is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Houston majoring in Kinesiology. She enjoys interacting with patients and learning more about eye care, and she hopes to further her studies by attending Optometry school one day. Jasmine is also an important research team member who helps with conducting the FDA clinical studies at Vision Optique.

Outside of work, Jasmine likes to hang out with friends and family, work out, and try new restaurants.

Meet Hannah! She is one of the newest members of Vision Optique. She is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Houston majoring in Biology. We are excited for her goal to attend Optometry school one day. She is a key member of our patient care team and is passionate about assisting and helping you during your eye examination.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys going to concerts, perfecting her baking skills, and likes to hang out with friends and family.

Meet Rachel! She is our newest optometric assistant and works closely with each patient during their eye examination to ensure accurate measurements and ocular history are captured. She will always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome during your visit to our office. She is currently an undergraduate student at Barnard College of Columbia University, where she is pursuing a degree in neuroscience and a minor in economics. She is excited to learn more about healthcare and optometry as she is preparing herself for a career in healthcare.  She is fluent in English and semi-fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Outside of work, Rachel loves playing pickleball, reading, baking, and trying new restaurants.

Christelle is an enthusiastic optician who has been in the eyecare industry for almost 5 years. She enjoys interacting with patients and is readily available to answer any questions or concerns. She is a versatile team member of Vision Optique and is available to assist you with scheduling an appointment, frame styling, insurance authorization, as well as performing patient pre-testing during your ocular examination. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently enrolled at University of Houston College of Optometry class of 2025.  She is fluent in French, English, Vietnamese and Spanish.

Outside of work, Christelle enjoys hiking, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places and restaurants.
